CALIFORNIA 77 WASHINGTON 69 (OT)
Three thoughts:1. We're terrible at picking these games, and will hereafter always pick against the Bears;
2. Freshman of the Year? Sorry Spencer, we'll take Mr. Anderson (above) and his 18/14.
3. If Washington's the 24th best team in America, then Cal figures to be a #6 seed in the Western Regional. How does Cal out-rebound the Huskies? Seriously - how does that happen? If this was Washington football, alums would be storming the castle right about now.
Full report to follow tomorrow. GO BEARS!

Hey Tightwad,
You run a great blog here...
(Better than TBIOOTF... u should have been the SBN choice, but shhh on that)....
Anyways, glad to see u were wrong on this one. Only 230 days til Tennessee.
Go Bears!
Ryan, thanks. I think we came along after the the SBN thing. We like TBIOOTF guys a bunch, and we're glad we can't figure out this hoops team. Makes for an interesting season.
That's what I like the most about you Tightwad, always full of class.
And yes it will be an interesting season. Hopefully we can pick off enough games like tonight to make the NIT's.
On a broader note, it's great to see multiple Cal blogs popping up. A year ago at this time I could hear the crickets chirping in the blogosphere when it came to Cal.
Again, props on the blog, and Go Bears!
We've been trying to contact you, tightwad for a while, but you do not seem to have a Contact Email on your front page or your profile. Anyway, similar to the awkwardly acronymed TBIOOTF.com, we at The California Golden Blogs are a Cal blog of far worse quality than your own beloved Tightwad Hill.
We did a link exchange with TBIOOTF.com and thought it might be prudent to do one with you. Out of good faith, we have already put your link up. I hope this might be amenable to you. Please contact us at the contact email viewable on our front page, if possible. You are far and away the best Cal blog on the web and it would be a privilege to do a link exchange with you.
And to make this more Cal related, we were at the game today. Very, very exciting game. Theo Robertson was the real hero of this game. Ubaka didn't do much until the overtime. But I was standing right by the basket at the important free throws by #5 on UDub. And I saw Ubaka continually chirping at him. Talking to him. No idea at all what he was saying to him, but it appeared to work. At least once. And thats all we needed. Go Bears!
Also, I forgot to post the link. If you click on GoldenBlogs, itll take you there. But if you are super lazy like me, just click here:

Let the shameless promotion continue!
And to again make this a bit more Cal related, Tedford was at the game today for the first half. I was 20 feet away from him. It was the greatest hour or so of my life.
